Job Summary
OmniVue, a leading provider of application and infrastructure management services has an immediate need for an experienced Dynamics GP Technical Support Consultant. This role will be responsible for supporting our Dynamics GP Client base as well as assisting in upgrades to meet and exceed our clients’ objectives. This person will also assist, as needed, on new implementations by taking on various tasks of the implementation process. Qualified individuals will have 5+ years of Information Systems experience, with at least 3 years of IT support experience. Experience with supporting Dynamics GP is required. Dynamics GP certification is a plus. Experience working with manufacturers and distributors is also a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Support existing client base in the areas of Microsoft Dynamics GP.
  • Provide input and advice regarding Dynamics GP capabilities and functions to client organizations.
  • Provide lead role in the Dynamics GP upgrade process.
  • Participate in company initiatives (functional and technical analysis, documentation, and development, etc.)
  • Build positive client relationsips while developing an understanding of customers’ businesses.

Skills:

  • Basic accounting understanding of General Ledger, Sales Order processing, Purchase Order processing, Inventory & Bill of Material, some Project Accounting.
  • Experience working with Dynamics GP GL, SOP, POP, INV.
  • Microsoft Technologies: MS SQL Server with Transact SQL, Dynamics GP table structure.
  • Proven communication skills: oral and written.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement required in setting priorities of tasks among multiple assigned projects.
  • Ability to effectively and promptly respond to software problem calls remotely.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to investigate error messages and determine resolution.
  • Ability to train users in startup, basic and advanced use of Microsoft Dynamics GP which may include group training as required (in-person or remote).
  • Familiarity with Scribe Insight and supporting adapters.

Required Experience:

  • Working with Transact SQL, Database Backup / Recovery
  • Experience working with the following sofware applications / programs:
    • GP 10, 2010, 2013
    • FRx / Management Reporter
    • Report Writer (including Word templates)
    • Extender
    • SmartList Builder
    • Fixed Assets
    • EFT/ACH Setup

Pluses:

  • Microsoft Dynamics GP Certification
  • Microsoft Certification (MCDBA, MCSE)
  • Experience working with the following software applications / programs:
    • SSRS Report Writing
    • Scribe Insight
    • Business portal / SharePoint
    • Microsoft CRM installation, modification (C#, MS CRM SDK)
    • Binary Stream Multi-entity Management (MEM)
    • Greenshades
    • Mekorma Check Printing
